Applications are invited from the following qualified candidates to fill the vacant posts in the Primary Non-Technical Service Category (PL - 01) of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and the hospitals and institutions perform under the Ministry.

Educational Qualifications :
- Applicants shall have passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects at not more than two sittings, including two (02) credit passes. Or
- Possession of NVQ level 3 or higher in the field relevant to the position.
Professional Qualifications :
- Experience in the relevant field will be considered an additional qualification.
Physical Qualifications :
- Every candidate shall be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka and to perform the duties of the post.
Other :
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
- Should be of unblemished character.
- The qualifications required for recruitment to the post shall be completed in every respect as at the date referred to in the notification calling for applications on which the qualifications required for the recruitment to the post must be fulfilled.
- Age: Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age.
Salary structure and monthly salary scale :
- Rs. 40,000-10x450-10x490-10x540--12x590 -Rs. 61,880 (PL-01–2025) (In terms of Schedule (II) of P.A. Circular No. 10/2025) (Initial step of the year 2026 is Rs. 38,863/-)
Method of Application
๐ฉ All applicants should prepare their applications on white A4 sheets in accordance with the specimen application format available on the website and submit it clearly completed in their own medium and handwriting.
- On the top left corner of the envelope containing the application, should bear the legend "Recruitment for the post of Health Service Aid (Junior) in the Primary Non-Technical (PL 01 -2006 -A) Service Category in the Ministry of Health and Mass Media - 2025" on or before 12.01.2026 and send them by registered post.
๐ When preparing the applications, the name of the examination indicated in the heading should be written in English in addition to Sinhala in Sinhala-medium applications, and in English in addition to Tamil in Tamilmedium applications.
⁖ Any changes made to the application after it has been submitted will not be considered.
Conditions of recruitment :
- All qualifications required for recruitment to the post must be fulfilled as at 12.01.2026.
- Applicants who do not possess the prescribed qualifications shall be disqualified for appointment.
- Applications that are not in accordance with the attached specimen application, as well as incomplete applications, will be rejected without notice.
- The receipt of applications will not be acknowledged and the applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
- On the presumption that only those who possess the qualifications mentioned in the Gazette Notification have applied, applicants who submit duly completed applications will be called for the interview, and the interview notice will be sent to the address provided in the application.
- Applicants who fulfill the qualifications will be selected and the employees so selected will be appointed to the vacancies in the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and the hospitals and institutions under it.
