The National Lotteries Board (NLB) established by the Finance Act 1963/11 and fully function under the Ministry of Finance is the regulatory body and the pioneer of the government lottery industry. The NLB is entertaining applications from the suitably qualified dynamic professionals for the following posts.
- Sales Officer
- Order Processing Officer
- Public Relation Officer
- Media Coordinating Officer
- Territory Manager
- Information Technology Officer
- Computer Programmer
๐ Following age limit and salary scales are applicable for posts no. 01 to 06.
Age Limit :
- Between 22 – 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
Salary Scale :
- JM 1-1 Rs: [72,650 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 = 122,970] (According to the MS Circular No.01/2025 this salary scale will begin on 01.01.2027)
⁖ The selected candidates will be entitled to monthly incentive allowance and medical insurance facilities and other allowances in addition to the salary
- Sound Knowledge in English will be an additional qualification.
Recruitment Procedure,
- Based on the results of a written competitive examination and/or a structured interview will be conducted for all posts.
Written Competitive Examination,
» Subjects for the examination are given below :
- Language Proficiency
- Aptitude Test
- Subject knowledge relevant to the post
- If selected through a written competitive examination and a structured interview final selection will be in the order of merit based on the aggregate of 60% of the marks obtained at the written examination and 40% of the marks obtained at the interview.
- If selected through a structured interview – appointments will be made purely in the order of merit at the interview.
General Conditions :
- Should be citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should be Physically & mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the Island.
- Should be of excellent moral character.
- Applicants should fulfilled the relevant qualifications as at 23.09.2025
