Applications are invited from the citizens of Sri Lanka for the following vacancy exist in the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation.
» External Candidates :
- GCE(O/L) Examination with six (06) subjects including English Language and four (04) credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and two other subjects in one sitting.
And
- GCE(A/L) Examination with three subjects (Other than the General Paper)
⁖ Not: Certificate in Computing of a recognized Institute will be considered as an added qualification.
» Internal Candidates :
- Eligibility: The employees of the employee categories of Primary Level – Unskilled /Primary Level- Semi Skilled/ Primary Level – Skilled, who possess the following qualifications are eligible to apply.
Educational :
- GCE(O/L) Examination with six (06) subjects including English Language and four (04) credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and two other subjects in one sitting.
And
- Service Experience: Completed a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a permanent post under the employee categories of Primary Level – Unskilled / Primary Level –Semi Skilled / Primary Level- Skilled.
⁖ Not: Certificate in Computing of a recognized Institute will be considered as an added qualification.
Salary Code & Scale :
- MA 1-1 - 2025 Rs. (46,220-10 × 540-07 × 630-12× 1,080-12× 1,280-84,350)
- Other allowances are entitled as per circular issued by the government.
Other Benefits
- 10% will be deducted from the salary for EPF and the Corporation will contribute 15%.
- The Corporation will contribute 3% for ETF.
- Official Transport facilities /or allowances will be provided as per the Government circulars.
General Conditions :
- Age should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
- Candidates who are employed in Government Departments / State Corporations / Statutory Boards should forward their applications through relevant Heads of the Institutes
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should be an excellent moral character.

The Ceylon Fisheries Corporation was established in 1964 under the State Industrial Corporations Act. No.49 of 1957 and commenced its commercial operations in 1965. At the commencement, the objectives of the Corporation covered the entire fisheries sectors.
