Trainee Information Management Officer - Airport and Aviation Services Job Vacancies

Job Scope :

Aeronautical Information Management Officer shall accountable to ensure the flow of aeronautical data and aeronautical information necessary for global air traffic management (ATM) system safety, regularity, economy and efficiency in an environmentally sustainable manner in compliance ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices within the area of the responsibility of the State.

Key Responsibilities :

• Publication of Aeronautical Information Services Products.
• Processing, Editing and Publishing Aeronautical Charts.
• Originating NOTAM and handling incoming NOTAMs of foreign countries.
• Acceptance/Activation of Flight Plans.
• Flight Briefing.
• Originating Air Traffic Services Messages.
• Plan/Update and Administrate National Aeronautical Data Base (AIXM)

Qualifications :

1. Should possess BSc. Degree in Mathematics/ Physics/ Computer Science/ IT/ GIS/ Meteorology from a university recognized by U.G.C
2. Should have passed the GCE (A/L) Examination or equivalent examination in 03 subjects including Combined Mathematics and Physics.
3. Should have possessed Credit Pass for English Language at the GCE (O/L) Examination or equivalent examination.
4. Candidates should be able to converse fluently in English Language.

Preference will be given for candidates who have possessed Diploma in Aviation conducted by Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy of Airport & Aviation Services (SL) (Private) Ltd and Computer Literacy.

Age :

• Should be less than 30 years on the closing date for applications.

Method of Selection :

• Selection will be made after an English Written Test, Voice Test, Aptitude Test, Interview and a Medical Examination.

General :

The selected candidates will be required to undergo a training programme of six months conducted by the Company and enter in to an agreement/Bond to serve the Company for a period determined by the Company on completion of training programme.

The Selected candidates will have to perform duties at any Airport in any part of the Island as and when necessary.
