Job Brief :
Your role as an ICT Trainee – Software Development is to learn and apply programming tools and language to deliver the required ICT solutions. Read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures; Write reports and routine business correspondence. Your will need to learn the codebase, attend design meetings write basic code, fix bugs, and assist the team in all design-related tasks. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
You will be researching, designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining software programs; Testing and evaluating new products & platforms. Also, you will Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assisting the development team with all aspects of software design and coding.
- Attending, learning, and contributing to system development meetings.
- Learning the codebase and improving coding skills, writing, and maintaining solutions.
- Working on minor bug fixes and monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
- Responding to requests from the development team & writing reports.
- Create clear and concise documentation for developed software.
- Stay up to date with emerging software development trends and technologies.
Qualifications & Prerequisites :
- Degree or Higher Diploma equivalent in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of coding languages including C++, JavaScript, HTML5 and SQL.
- Basic programming experience with knowledge of databases and operating systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft email & productivity suite.
- Ability to learn new software and development technologies quickly & efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt with different work scenarios and work in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
